Pineapple Knot Pattern Designer

Use this free tool to design pineapple knot patterns. Choose from common pineapple knot templates, adjust the nested bights, rows, columns, shift and column coding, then preview the knot as both a flat pattern and a 3D wrapped design.

The designer is useful for paracord projects, decorative knot tying, ropework, handle wraps, scout woggles, leatherwork and anyone exploring pineapple knot layouts before tying.

You can download a labelled styled SVG with a scale bar, along with printable tying instructions. These can be used to make your own jig, print a reference pattern, or simply experiment with different pineapple knot designs.

This tool is currently offered as a free pattern designer. Custom 3D printed globe and pineapple knot jig production is still being tested, so online ordering for these designs is not yet enabled.

What does this tool do?

The generator creates pineapple knot layouts from AGM-style nested bight patterns. You can choose a preset, then adjust the number of nested bights, rows, columns, shifted bights and over-under column coding.

Can I use it without buying anything?

Yes. The pineapple knot designer is free to use. You can download a labelled SVG pattern and tying instructions for your own reference, printing, or jig making.

What downloads are included?

The tool can produce a styled SVG pattern with top and bottom bight labels and a scale bar. It also creates text-based tying instructions showing how each strand runs from bight to bight.

Who is it for?

This tool is useful for knot tyers, paracord makers, scouts, leatherworkers, ropeworkers and anyone designing decorative pineapple knots for balls, handles, mandrels, woggles or other objects.

Can I order a custom pineapple knot jig?

Not yet through the online designer. The pattern side is working, and we are testing the 3D printed globe and pineapple jig production process separately. Once the printed jig workflow is reliable, we may add custom ordering.
