Optional Tailstock

How to Use

1. Mount the rope making head securely to a bench or work surface using a clamp or the screw holes in the base.
2. Attach your three strands of cordage to the hooks.
3. Apply suitable weight or tailstock tension. Around 200 g is a useful starting point, then adjust as needed.
4. Drive the machine with a cordless drill at a low, controlled speed.
5. Move the follower smoothly toward the head as the rope begins to lay.
6. When set up correctly, the follower will often begin moving itself toward the head as the rope forms.

Work slowly at first and adjust the tension, drill speed and follower position until the rope lays evenly.
