Master your knot-tying skills with this improved 3D-printed Turk’s Head woggle jig/mandrel, now featuring crisp embossed over-under guides and metal pins for a cleaner, more accurate setup. Designed for crafters, scouts, and paracord enthusiasts, this jig makes it easy to tie professional-quality woggles, keychains, and decorative knots with confidence.
The surface of the jig includes clear, raised path embossing that follows the true knot sequence, making the layout far easier to learn and repeat. The included split-pin anchors slot cleanly into the jig to hold your cord in place as you work.
Includes
1× 3D-printed embossed mandrel
Metal pins for the full knot layout
Elastic band for securing the starting point
(Cord not included)
How to Tie a 3-Lead, 4-Bight Turk’s Head Knot
Insert the metal pins into the marked holes (A1 to B4).
Secure your cord at A1 using the elastic band.
Follow the wrapping sequence:
A1 → B2
B2 → A4
A4 → B1
B1 (under) → A3
A3 (under) → B4
B4 (under, then over) → A2
A2 (under, then over) → B3
B3 (under, then over) → A1
Trace the knot again with the same cord or a second colour if desired.
Remove the pins and gradually tighten the knot, keeping all strands parallel.
Roll the tied knot on a hard surface to flatten and dress it.
Remove from the mandrel and finish your ends by stitching, whipping, or melting.
With the new embossed guide and metal pins, this jig makes the Turk’s Head knot faster to learn and far more consistent.
