Each mandrel has a clearly embossed path showing the correct route of the knot. This makes it easier to learn the structure, follow the crossings and produce consistent results without relying entirely on a flat diagram.

Each mandrel also includes additional holes at crossing points, allowing experienced users to experiment with variations and different part counts.

How the Jigs Help

Turk’s Head knots can be difficult to keep organised when tied freehand, especially when working with higher part counts or smaller mandrels.

The embossed guides provide a clear path to follow around the mandrel, while the pins help hold the cord in place as the knot is built up. Once the knot has been laid out, it can be tightened gradually and dressed to its final shape.
